Varada Hegde is the Deputy Director for Services at Seva-in-Action, Bengaluru. She has over 25 years of experience with in Seva-in-Action as a Community Based Rehabilitation worker, coordinator for Rural rehabilitation services, in-charge of pre-vocational training, Skill Development and Livelihood for persons with intellectual & developmental disabilities and Counselling & guidance support to PWIDDs & their families.

She is the State Coordinator of SAFI for Karnataka. She has done a short course in Montessori training. She has done a Diploma in Integrated Education of Disabled Children & Community-based Rehabilitation and RCI Bridge Course in the field of Hearing Impairment & Associated Disability conducted by SiA.

She attended a CRE program of RCI at KPAMRC in the area of ID & Associated Disability on the topic of Disability Rehabilitation Management. She did a counselling course from Samvidh Psychological Service. Varada Hegde earned the “Women of the Year” award in the year 2019 from Garden City University, Bengaluru for her service in the disability sector.
