The first edition of Quizabled was held on February 13, 2016, at Reddy Jana Sangha Auditorium, Bengaluru
A total of 110 Children with Disabilities from 12 special schools and 06 government schools across Bengaluru participated.
It was a one-day event where the Prelims and the Finals took place on the same day.
There were 2 categories in the quiz.
Group A – Chandana – Children with ID and ASD
Group B – Mallige – Children with VI, HI & CP
The question paper was prepared and the quiz was conducted by the Quizmaster for the Quiz Mr Himadri Banerjee and his team from 4 Edge Quizzing solutions.
The printed question paper was given to the teams with the assistance of scribes to mark and write the answers.
The special guest for the event was Mr Ashwin Karthik who works as a software engineer at ANZ Corporation in Bangalore, without letting Cerebral Palsy hold him back.
The Guests of Honour were Mr K. N. Venkataraman, Head of Global Business Operations-Infrastructure Management Services, L&T Infotech Ltd.; Ms Deepa Narasimhan, Head, Diversity & Inclusion BU, EMC2 and Mrs Ruma Banerjee, representing Seva -in-Action.
The winning teams were awarded medals, certificates and goodies.
