Self Advocacy Training
Introduction Persons with Disabilities are invisible in the human rights system and they are marginalized in all the societies. Generally, they have internalized the general negative attitude towards them and face unique challenges in employment. Over the years it was assumed that the challenges were the natural and unavoidable consequences of their physical, mental and intellectual impairment. While some of the PWDs are fully integrated in the society and participating actively in all areas of life, the majority suffer social isolation, discrimination, exclusion and abuse. Objectives: To develop self-advocacy skill among PWIDDs and encourage them to make decisions in their day to day life.
